Criminal Litigation

We represent both the accused and private complainants in criminal proceedings — from inquest and preliminary investigation before the prosecutor's office, through bail, arraignment, and trial, to appeal. For the accused, that means asserting every right and defense the law provides. For complainants, it means building a complaint that prosecutors will find probable cause on, and actively assisting the prosecution as private prosecutor through trial.

Criminal cases are won by preparation and procedure: a timely counter-affidavit, a well-argued petition for review, a bail application filed at the right moment, a demurrer when the prosecution fails to carry its burden. We know these levers because we work them constantly — this is one of the two pillars of our litigation practice.

In financial and economic crimes — estafa, bouncing checks, and fraud-related prosecutions — our forensic accounting capability lets us trace transactions and test the numbers behind the charge, whether we are prosecuting or defending.
